This is my first blog for A. Green & Son Heating and Plumbing, a heating engineer Southport. I thought a good first one would be about my experience over the last 7 weeks coping with the coronavirus. I’ve been off work now for 7 weeks due to the current situation and had lots of time to think about ways to improve the business.
I have completed many tasks from little things such as racking the van, washing the van and cleaning out the lock up and organising things I would never usually get time to do.
I have been learning new skills on how to use the accounting software, improving our quote presentation and keeping on top of emails. We have been lucky to get all our finance packages arranged and ready to be launched in the next few weeks.
I have completed several courses with Worcester Bosh learning safe isolation of electrics, water treatment within heating systems, gas specification, future heating and general information on all the new Worcester Bosch controls and boilers. With social media playing a big part in advertising and brand awareness, i have also been learning about SEO, blogging and getting more traffic to my website.
We are very lucky to have good loyal customers who have been understanding during
this time and bearing with us. This is giving us the opportunity to get back to work with lots of jobs ready to go.
We have a few exciting jobs which include 1 high spec new build, 2 new builds, a full house renovation, plenty of boiler replacements and some bathroom renovations to get stuck into. We wish everyone safe, take care and keep your distance.
